more omc JUNK

forgot to ask in previous post...will my new omc boot slip over outdrive when installing or do i need to remove outdrive. oh yea....'85 searay 255 amberjack with twin omc 3.8L v6's with junkola 800 series drives

I don't recall ever trying it with the drive on. It wouldn't suprise me if you can get it there with the drive on. Just be careful and don't tear it. The drives come off fairly easy.

I have put them on with the drive installed.Just leave the boot out in the sun all day, to get it nice and pliable. You may have to remove the prop and the trim tab, but its alot better than pulling the whole drive.
