What kind of battery do you prefer?
Both car and boat?

And has anyone used Bilstein shocks?
They seem to be the 'weapon of choice', but the price tag is OUCH! ($252 to my door)

H.

Wal-mart $39.95 5.5 years in an Accord and still strong. 4 years in my I/O and waiting on summer.

Re: More car questions

After trying a lot of different brands over the years, I now pretty much stick with Sears for batteries. I don't know who makes them for Sears, but I have been satisfied with their perfomance.

There are only two MAJOR manufactures of batteries in the US: Exide and Johnson Controls.

Just the labels are different.

Djohns is correct. The Sears Diehard is made by Johnson Controls. They make excellent batteries. Check with the retailer who is selling batteries at a reasonable price. Ask them who made the battery. Most of them will tell you.

Re: More car questions

I was wondering if there was only a few places who made batteries!

Kinda like car lifters. I'm told there are only a few places who make them too.

I stick to DieHards as well. I run a deep cycle trolling for the boat accessories and a regualr DieHard for startup.

I recently stuffed a trickle charger on them for the winter months. Seems to work well so far.

H.
