My set up has a fitting on the end of the shafts, with a dust cup that has a removable rubber insert to grease the bearings. I just repacked the beaings, and will buy buddies. ??? Do I remove the existing fitting to use the buddies? It channels grease between the bearings. Seems like I should, does anyone know? Thanks.

Do not isnstall bearing buddies on your current set-up. When you pump new grease into the fitting on the end of the spindle, it pushes the old grease out the front. It is a very good system and the only problem you may have is losing the rubber plug which can be bought for about fify cents each.Bearing buddies will defeat the purpose of the spinle lube axle.

Thanks kence, I suspected it was an effective method. Acutally the plugs are rather tight, which is comforting.
