monark and mercury how old

i have a monark 9g20 i have been trying to work out the year to no avail it has a mercury 50 with the engine number 0t006428 and i cant find that listed for year either any help would be apreciated

The engine s/n comes up as:

MERCURY - ( 40 H.P. (2000 ))
Serial No: 0T006428 Model No: 1043412WD
