Have a jet ski cover that is in very good condition but has mold splotches on it. Any suggestions for removing them without using something with bleach in it that will fade the cover?

I have had good luck using tilex mold & mildew root killer available at any grocery store in a blue bottle.

Good Luck

I have never had it fade anything of mine just test on the underside, I have used it on my 1995 kawasaki standup recently, should be about the same material on the walls of the footwell as for the seat of a sit down.

Re: Moldy Cover

are you talking about a cover for the ski or a handlebar cover etc, I know how to clean up the handlebar covers and the like but cloth covers for the ski I would just put it in a trash can filled with soap, water and clorox2, then let it sit in it for a day or so and rinse it real good. then hang it to dry out and spray it with silicon spray to waterproof it again

Re: Moldy Cover

if you have bad handlebar covers or foot well pads stuff like that go to a dollar general buy some carb cleaner and some scrunge pads, do small sections at a time with the carb cleaner and scrub them with the scrunge pads you will gradually get the outer surface off that has the mold growing on it, just don't get it on decals or they will be gone in a flash. this works pretty fast on the mold.
