The tag that indicates model# & serial # is faded out on my 1989 85hp force,Any body know a way of determing model#?All i have is motor id# on title.

What did they use for an id on the title?<br />Perhaps it will give us a clue.

It's 23127 if that will help,dont know why Force didnt stamp it on like most others.Let me know if this# helps.

Yea i know the id number on the title aint close to nothing,and looking on ishopmarine.com under parts list,looks like there was at least6 diffrent models that year that began with 853 witch i presume is 85 hp 3 cylinder after that i dont know what the rest stands for,think i narrowed it doen to about 3 by the way the lower uint drive shaft is.
