I've got a 2005 Bayliner 3.0L w/Mercruiser. It has the original bellows set on it. I pulled the drive to fix an unrelated problem and looked/felt the bellows and they are not hard or rotted. Seem like new to me.

For those of you in MN/WI what kind of life are you seeing from the bellows? Local marine shop says that they last a dozen years or more up here - searching on the internet says that they fall apart in 5 - mostly seem to be people from the south where your tennis shoes disolve in a year.

Thoughts?

Ayuh,... My weather is like yer's,...

I got 10 years outa a set of sierras, that shoulda been changed a year or two earlier, though, they didn't leak....

If yer comfortable with the condition of yer's,.... go another season...
