I towed my 20' Cobalt and now there are creaking noises coming from the rear end of the truck. It operates fine. I am hoping its just lubrication. Any ideas?
Hi, Mark.<br /><br />I just passed 110,000 on my ML320. Probably 30,000 of that towing boats and utility trailers. No problems at all.<br /><br />I suggest that you have your Mercede$ Ben$ dealer check it out. It may have nothing to do with towing, but on the other hand something may be loose or broken.<br /><br />Good luck.
Thanks. My fear was that the truck could not realistically handle being worked. The boat is a 20' 93 cobalt total load with trailer 3900 lbs. Add my family and case of beer plus 40 gallons of gas and we are pushing 5000. I was a little nervous.
I don't think I have towed that much. Maybe 3500 a couple of times.<br /><br />The truck can be worked hard and just keeps her cool and does what I ask of her.<br /><br />Good luck.
