mixing ratio for Johnson 15 hp outboard

hello, i started reading this forum after getting a johnson and cant wait to start using it. here goes. i have a johnson 15 hp from around 1990-1994. not exactly sure bacause the model # is gone. i dont have the manual. does anyone know the gas to oil mixing ratio for this motor?

50:1. 160z oil to 6 gal of gas. Make sure the oil is TCW-3 rated.

there should be a Quarter size disc on the engine block. post the number on it. we can tell you so you can get a manual, which is a must to keep it in good shape. just sold a 1955 15hp that ran better that the new ones.

the silver disc on the block reads : G304050. Some one told me to use a 32:1 ratio but i was not sure if that was correct. any one know where i can find a manual for a good price for this engine? thanks for the help!!!

Use the 50:1 mix. Check eBay from time to time....sometimes they manuals pop up there. Ken Cook Co. sells reprints of the original service manual...just do a search for the name. iboats sells the generic service manuals...see bottom of page.
