Hi, I was wondering if I could mix my own synthetic blend. I bought 5 quarts of synthetic and 5 quarts of regular. I want to mix them and make my own synthetic blend. I know you can buy synthetic blends.

Thank you.

i am an automotive tech and in my opinion regular oil is just fine for automotive type engine i have seen mobil one synthetic oil eat up multiple cams in hot rod motor when conventional oil did no harm in my opinion i would use regular oil unless instructed by the manufacture to use some thing different

Thanks but I already bought both types and was thinking to stretch out the expensive stuff. What happened is 1st I bought Walmart brand for really cheap and then a couple of days later they had a sale on the synthetic so I bought it.

so why can't you, I do it, sea doo first said they required synthetic oil then they said don't use it because it won't stick to the parts if the engine sits for an extended time like regular oil does,, and it wears the parts when the engine is started for the first time after sitting for a week or longer.. I believe the synthetic oil was for the e p a readings and not because it works better than regular oil. I know it had that purpose with the 2 stroke engines..
