Missing Anode/Fin

How'd just wondering our alpha 1 drive is missing this anode/fin. (See Picture)
will adding this make my steering any easier.
Bayliner 175 with a 3.0 alpha 1 drive, no power steering.
everything works fine but once under way it's a little harder to steer.
It also tends to turn slight to one direction.

it won't make the steering "easier" like power assisted steering would

but, it WILL counteract the torque of the prop against the drive - so if the wheel pulls hard one way, this will help counteract that, just make sure you turn it the right way - may take a few tries to get it set right

the one you have pictured there is okay for an aluminum prop, if you have stainless you need the high performance tab
