Took my boat out today just for a sec to work on my trailer. I was just giving it gas when all of sudden I hear a hissing noise for a quick second a few times. I am not sure if it's a misfire which my eyes point in that direction but I wanted to ask you guys because maybe you ran into this. I have a 1989 Force 125 if this helps anyone..

Hiss, could it be more like a sneeze? If so then a miss is suspect.

No it is more of a hiss sound. I have read a few forums and they say it may have to do with the reeds.

Have you localized where it is coming from? Is it constant?

It's more sporadic and it happens for a split second every 5-8 seconds. I am going to check the fuel pump and all the clamps in the hoses to make sure everything is on right.
