I am thinking about buying one of the MinnKota 55# Power Drives and adding the Copilot remote control. Can anybody comment favorably or unfavorably? I would appreciate your thoughts before I buy. Thanks.

Howdy, again, Elk River.

iboats has this motor at a very attractive price.

http://www.iboats.com/mall/index.cg...category=trolling motor>bow&*******=003376476

My personal experience with the Auto Pilot feature would cause me to add that, but it does sound like a good choice.

Please patronize our host. iboats spends a lot to make this site available to us. I think their generosity deserves support.

While I don't have the co-pilot, I have read several threads on other boards and people swear by them. They don't seem to have many problems either. Many people use them up North when trolling for Walleye's. Control from anywhere in boat.
D

I put the copilot on this year on my 55pd. This is the best option I ever added to my Boat. I wonder how I ever did without it. Using the remote gives you finer control then with the food pedal. You can have both hooked up if needed. You will not be disapointed when you get it. The list is endless for how it can be used.

SingleShot

Gentlemen, thanks for the comments. Exactly what I was hoping to hear!

JB, I will look into getting one from iboats. I just found this site a couple of weeks ago and have found it very useful.
