I have a MK 30lb thrust trolling motor that i got second hand. I had it connected to a 24M marine battery for about a year, but recently that crapped out and I got a new 29M battery (assume that is not related to the problem, but I only ran it twice on the new battery before the motor problems)
Last night, the motor ran initially only in reverse and seemed fine in that direction, In forward, it seemed to shake a bit and only ran at low forward speeds for a short while before stopping completely. After a short rest, it would work in the same limited way for a bit.
I did search, but didn't find any troubleshooting tips that seemed to match exactly. Sorry to be remedial, but if there are suggestions, if you can let me know what tool(s) i need to troubleshoot and specifically what I should be looking for, I would appreciate.
