Minn Kota Trolling Motor Question

I have a Minn Kota Endura 46 (lb thrust) motor...I'm trying to figure out what battery I need...I am tyring to find out what the Amp draw on this motor would be at full speed and at low speed..(It has 5 forward Speeds)... I can't seem to find any specs with that kind of info...Thx

I have a Endura 34 pound thrust and my manual says they will operate with any deep cycle 12 volt marine battery. For best results they say to have a battery with at least 105 ampere hour rating. It also says that as a general on the water estimate, it will draw one ampere per hour for each pound of thrust when running on high. It does not say how much for low speed. I hope this helps you out.

Thx a bunch rodge...would still be interested if anybody has any specs on amp draw for lower speeds...thx

shortstop-<br />your endura 46 doesnt have maximizer technology so you will get the lower of the two charted lines from a 12v DEEP CELL (@105 amp/hr) marine trolling battery. Do not use with starting or dual purpose battery as these are really not designed for slow drain/low amp draw til drained and then complete recharge. Diagram below is as specific as I could find for you. There is usually a diagram on the top of the units on minn kota's that shows approxximate running times at specific speed settings. if not , here is what I could find.

I went and pulled the numbers from sticker on my little minnkota 40lb thrust riptide unit. It is very similar to your unit and also doesn't have "maximizer" circuits. <br /> speed 1 .... 10 hrs use<br /> speed 2 .... 8 hrs use<br /> speed 3 .... 5 hrs use<br /> speed 4 .... 3 hrs use<br /> speed 5 .... 1.5 hrs use<br />hope that helps, your unit should be practically identical. Just go to costco and buy a optima redcell battery should work better than anything else. Well except for the blue top but thats $50 more.
