minn kota power drive clicks but dont run

I have a 2002 minn kota power drive unit # mkac . the power turn works fine but the motor wont turn. When pressing any of the buttons all i hear is a clicking noise from the control panel. I jumped the power wires direct to the motor leads any the motor works. Is this a sign of the control board. If so any suggestions on where to get parts reasonable. Thanks for any help

The foot control is very likely bad. If it has been left out in the rain and frequently been wet, I can almost guarantee that's the issue. The circuit board in the foot control is about $80. A new foot control at my local farm store (Fleet Farm) is $69. Go figure! The control boad uses membrane style switchs for the speed, MOM/CONT, and steering switches. Those are not repairable. Once the membrane has broken and moisture gets inside it is usually the speed control that goes bad. I will be posting pictures and details about this in the near future.
