Is anybody running the Genesis motors? If so do you know about them being out of production, and the swap you can make.

JB,M/K will give you a swap to get you out of the Genesis motor, since they are stopping production the parts prices are going up so much.A good example is the foot pedal which 3 months ago was $200. now that same pedal is $300. and they expect that it will only go higher. They are being very responsible in this matter by letting you swap that motor in on either a new AP/PD or a MAXXUM they feel this is their best move to take care of their customers. Ya, I have one also and hate to hear it. I went to Kinnkota's web site and there is no mention of it there. I then called Minnkota and they said they would only have parts for about 3 years. I suppose it would be best to take advantage of the offer for the exchange but the exchange units they offer are a lot less cost than what the Genesis originally cost.<br /><br />Reelman, thanks for tipping us off witht he post.<br /><br />StillFishin'
