mini jackplate

do any of you guys know anything about a mini jackplate have any of you guys tried or know someone who tried one i want to know if they are very strong or not someone told me that he lost a motor from one breaking when he hit a little log duck hunting i dont want to buy one if they are a peice of junk for just puddle jumping

Depends on a lot of variables, including the specific model bracket model. If you are talking about the mini-jacker...On todays ouboards don't use it on anything larger than a 20.

i have a 1989 nissan 30 horse 2 stroke , the one i was asking about is a fixed plate for clamp on motors

That engine is so lite that any jack plate will work, including the mini jacker.
