I have a 1990 Volvo Penta 570a and I believe my outdrive is a 290DB. I know I definately have a water leak. What is the best way to find where the leak is or where can the leak might be? thanks in advance! Also I got the prop cover out but the prop will not come out. I believe it was grease when put back in. What is the best way (tool) to get for that. Thanks again!

You'll need to pressure test the drive to locate the leak. Not sure on your prop, Is it a Duo-Prop, 290DP?

First thing to do is disconnect the bellows and see if there is water in it.

In the link above type 570a in the 'engine type' field and download the owners manual. It may give some insight on your Prop issue. I know there is another member here with the same outdrive and experience with the maintanence of the older Duo Props, Maclin I believe. Perhaps he'll be around with some advise.

Did you check for water in your bellows yet? Thats your first move like Don said.

Good Luck to you.:)
