If you do a search on the forum under pressure tank there is a step by step rebuild thread. After reading it I know I did mine wrong but at least I know what to do now!

Re: mile master pressure tank rebuild

I completely rebuilt mine, bead blasted everything, repainted, new seal kit, installed them dry, and have had no problems, but I didn't repaint the top cap bolts, and a couple of them are showing a little rust, so I may clean them up and put a coat of paint on them, still need to apply decals, but haven't gotten that far yet.

so I'd say, put the gaskets in it dry.

Re: mile master pressure tank rebuild

Hello...Just bought an old Richardson wood boat. It came with an old (1950-60 ?) Johnson outbrd 5.5 Also came with a 6 Gal. "pressurized" Johnson Milemaster Fuel Tank. I understand they do not make this type tank anymore but how about a "Kit" to rebuild the tank ? Thanks 215-375-5752
