mid range dead spot

I have a 1992 model 90 hp Force on my center console. It runs very well and starts up on a dime, however there seams to be an area at mid throttle where it either gets too rich or too lean. If you punch it to full throttle it will take right off, but if you ease into the throttle you can hear it load up on some occations and even stall out if you continue to throttle it slow. I have replaced the fuel pump diaphram and have good fuel flow. I have run carb cleaner through it as well. The plugs were new last fall. Any one seen this before? What is the remedy?<br />Michael Hanewich

Try doing a decarb first. Look it up under FAQ or get a can of Seafoam Deepcreep. If that dont help check fuel lines for a leak, rebuild carb instead of just cleaning it. Replace all the fuel lines and clamps. Last you may have to replace the fuel seat valves in that fuel pump. I would order a few along with the gaskets. They are hard to get out without breaking at least one.

Re: mid range dead spot

Sorry guys, I just noticed that the question sat unanswered for three days. I don't know the answer, so I thought I would direct him to someone who did.
