Hello, I recently got a '74 (roughly) Johnson sea horse 25hp tiller engine. I have a couple questions that im hoping someone can answer for me. (1): what is the proper gas/oil ratio? (2):I am having a problem with it... The first and only time i have taken it out to the lake, it seemed to be doing fine until I got into some light growth in the water. Well, a little of the weeds got into the propeller. i cleaned the prop and now when i take off from a dead stop the boat just sits there or barely moves and the motor just revs up. if i just give it a little throttle the boat will start to move and then i can lay into the gas and it seems to go fine. also, reverse seems to barely move the boat at any point of acceleration. (14ft aluminum V) Please post, or email me if you can help. thanks

Your mix is 50:1
You may have a spun hub on your prop.
Prop shop can tell you and make a repair.
