Microsoft Power Point?

Is this program packaged with Microsoft Office? I got an email with a .pps file. It opened and played on my computer.

I then forwarded it to Mrs Boomyal's laptop and it could not find a program to open it with. It made me wonder why my computer had Power Point and hers did not. If it was a choice while loading MS Office then I might have not selected it when loading Word etc on her computer.

Power Point IS NOT included in some versions of OFFICE. Depends what you bought.

It must be on my copy of Office Kagee. That is probably how it got onto my computer. When I set up Mrs Boom's laptop, I probably did not load it out of concern for limited hard drive space. In any event, it is just a guess cause I did it all more than a day ago.:p

Office 2002 is the same as office XP and PP is included in the professional version, not sure about the home version as I have never used a home version of anything from Microsoft.

Access has always been in any version I've seen. PP has not.

I know that FrontPage and Publisher have switched from years to be available, but not PP. What version didn't offer PP?

"The first version of Office contained Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Additionally, a "Pro" version of Office included Microsoft Access and Schedule Plus. "....Wikipedia

Just saw a version of 2007 at Office Depot... Access, Excel, Word and Outlook ... no PP. The version that has it all was over $500!

I guess I'm lucky. We have volume licensing with MS where I work, so I only use the pro versions and I can load it on my laptop as it use it for work realated projects.
We received the cd on Monday so I will get to play with it soon.
