What is it and why would I need/want it?

This is a c&p from the install page. Why would I want Microsoft to pinpoint my location. If I decide not to load it it how do I deleat it?

computer does not support Wi-Fi, Live Search attempts to find your location by using the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer instead. Using the IP address, however, may provide less accurate results.

What do you want to do?
Install Installs Location Finder for the most accurate positioning. To install Location Finder, your computer must be running a Microsoft Windows operating system and your browser must support Microsoft ActiveX controls.

Use IP Address No software will be installed. Live Search will try to calculate your location by using your computer IP address.

If you don't want to be prompted to install Location Finder again:

Click Options, and then select the Don't ask about installing Microsoft Location Finder check box.

Cancel No software will be installed. There will be no attempt to calculate your location.

I got the same thing awhile back RP, I didn't install it.
That live search feature is not worth installing more updates just to use it. You don't need it!!
Delete your temporary files in internet options if you have downloaded but not installed it yet.
