michiganwheel vs omc props

is one prop made better than the other or is there not really a difference in the quality between the two.i am going to buy a new stainless prop for my evinrude 120.cabelas has the rapture by mich-wheel for $239 and the evinrude dealer has a omc sst prop for $339.a difference of $100 is why i was asking.can anyone tell me the right choice to make.<br />thank you

I personally recommend using the OMC props.When your motor is manufacturer tested it is set up to perform best using OMC props which are designed to more closely match the torque curves of your engine.I've used both and found that Michigan props for my motor of comparable dia and pitch are inferior to the overall performance of the OMC.

We've found the same thing. If youre gonna spend around 330.00 I would look into the Stiletto or a Turbo (about 20.00 more). <br /><br />Ideally you want to hook up with a performance center and they will demo several props on your boat and redo the set up as necessary.<br /><br />Good luck!
