I just bought a 14-1/2" x 18" 4 blade aluminum prop from iboats and it gave me 5 more MPH. My 150 Optimax's max rpm is 5700 and this prop will spin 5800 rpm with 2 people in our 22' Tahoe boat, but usually there are 4 or more people along so I think this will be fine. (My old prop is a 14-4/5 x 17). Top speed went from 40 mph to 46 at 5600 rpm.
The dealer that sold me the boat told me to get a 19" pitch 4 blade, but I think that'll take too much bottom end away. What do you guys think?

I would stick with the 18" since you usually carry a heavier load. Just watch the tach when you are light.

Ok, so I noticed 2 blades have a nickel sized spot in the center where the powdercoat is gone (cavitation burns?). What should I use to repair/paint it?
I LOVE this prop!
