I have 3 CraigCats that have new Tohatsu MFS30C engines. I’m experiencing issues with 2 of them, both of which have around 300 hours.
Engines run great at idle as well as through all RPM ranges but, have recently found that they die/stall when decelerating, nearing neutral. Doesn’t matter if deceleration is done quickly or slowly. Have replaced spark plugs, ran fresh fuel, oil has been changed. After stalling, engine will start back up like nothing ever happened however, from the beginning with these engines brand new I have rarely experienced them starting off of the first key turn….usually take 2-3 key turns to actually turn over and stay running (not sure if this is related). Any ideas?
Thank you!
