Are we seeing a donkey in an elephant costume?

What should we make of Gov Arnold achievements so far?

Perhaps our Californian members can shed some light on their state's economic health.

Re: Message recieved.

Arnold inherited a near bankrupt state from the Gov. Gray Davis administration. The state deficit was billions, with aprox. 8 billion dollars worth of new bonds voted in by the Calipornia "leftist's", for their social(ist) programs. A large portion of the bonds were designed just to buy more votes from the "do gooder's, special interest groups, leaches, etc."

Then there is the San Francisco-Oakland Bay bridge, which is only partially completed and there are already billion's in cost over run's, just like Boston's "Big Dig." Both of these area's are basicly run by big unions, who the leftist politicians are in bed with and enjoy huge financial support.

The majority of California roads are in deplorable condition, due to the gas tax fund, which is huge, being diverted from it's intended road upkeep use.

Then there is the state lottery, which by law must give at least 34% of it's gross to education. This was another windfall to the "fatcat's", as when the lottery started bringing in billion$ of dollars for education, the politicians were able to "highjack" monies earmarked for education, from various taxes that are normally collected for education, thus causing more bond issues supporting education.

The illegal alien population has a huge negitive effect on on the quality of education here, not to mention the huge amount of tax dollars it cost's the taxpayers for the medical care the illegal's receive. Case in point...medical insurance has risen to $955.00 a month for my wife and myself. This amount does NOT even include dental or vision care!!! The illegal's get all this for FREE, so it has to be made up from some source.

Then there is multi-lingual ballots, which produces copius amounts of voter fraud.

Shall I go on?????????

...Bob in Calif...

Bob, These are indeed some very serious economic hurdles to overcome, Are they being addressed in a fiscally responsible manner as the Governor's electoral campaign promised?

The "Governator" is doing what he can, but being a Hollywood icon, he doesn't get much support from the "pretend to somebody else people", who mostly favor the left. Whether he can make his polices work or not, I admire him for giving it a try, with what he has to work with.

...Bob still In Calif, but not by choice...

I don't really know what he has done. His hands are tied by the lefties and the media who work against him. The unions spend millions to pitch propoganda against him, and the voters voted down all of his reform measures, including a proposal to require the parents of underaged girls to be informed if their having an abortion. California needs to wake up. It's a crying shame.
