Hi All

I just picked up my boat. Force custom bowrider 17ft. Was just looking through the goodies and extras, and found a Clymer full colour shop manual for Chrysler/Force 3.5-140hp- 1966-1988. Gold. Now I dont need to buy one!

Can't wait for a drive. Also, again, I'll let you all know the ' not revving past 3800 rpm' problem soon. 1st, check compression, next spark, and report findings!

Ill give you 1 guess why that Clymer's manual was in there.
You'll be a certified Force mechanic in 6 months.
I know I was.
Then again, Im a glutton for punishment and aside from all the empty beer cans, cigarette butts and screaming of cuss words. I pretty much enjoyed every minute of it.
10 years later, Im quite pleased with my accomplishments
Keep an open mind, a sense of humor, thirst for "cold ones" and you'll do fine.
Enjoy it.
I consider my boats (whether running or not) therapeutic.

Well congrats!!! I think you will be happy. I bought my dads 1988 bayliner with a 1989 force 125 my dad bought it new. well with the help of these guys on iboats i was able to get it going and put the new water pump in. force are very easy to work on or so far to me anyway!!!but when my dad bought new its needed nothing major!!
