Merging JPEG's

Does anyone know of a shareware/freeware app to join multiple jpegs, either verticle or horizontal, to make one big jpeg, such as this?

I have Infranview and have used it for a long time. That was the first app I looked at. I obviously didn't look close enough. I just now explored the "Create Panorama image" (verticle or horizontal) option. Thanks for the suggestion.

I use Irfanview also. It works great for merging.

Picasa has a collage feature and my Nikon came with Pamorama maker for software.

You could try gimp idk if it does that because most of the photo stuff i do at school on photoshop but they say its very close to it.
