Believe it or not Mercruiser has alot of different product out there.Do you have an I, R,MR ,ALPHA ,TR .TRII, BRAVO1 2 OR 3,what?

I have that very same problem with a mercruiser, Its a 2001 3lt Alpha one leg, i have greased the cables ends and makes no difference.

On a 1991 Alpha1, My Guess would be the Lower Shift Cable is on it's way Out...... There's Only Replacement.... Greasing is Not an option....<br />Although it could be the control, or the upper cables..... Disconnect them,+ See where it's binding.....<br />The oil Should be Anything But Milky.... There are Brown oils,+ Blue Oils,+ Green Oils,+ Red Oils,+ Etc..... But No Milky Oils.... <br /> While you have the outdrive Off, It'll be a Good Time to send it out to be Resealed,+ Inspected.....
