THE CROSS PIN CAME OUT OF MY RETAINING
PIN IN MY TILT ASSEMBLY. WHEN I LOWERED
THE MOTOR THE PIN SMASHED THE WIRES AND
THE CAP TO MY ELECTERIC TRIM MOTOR.
THE MANUAL SAYS YOU CAN REMOVE THE MOTOR
AND PUMP WITHOUT REMOVING THE WHOLE TRIM/
TILT UNIT. IT TALKS ABOUT REMOVING THE
TWO BOLTS SECURING THE PUMP? WHICH BOLTS
I'M LOST PLEASE. IF ANYONE CAN HELP
I WOULD BE THANKFUL....

First check availabilaty of that tilt motor as an individual portion of this unit.Merc often forces you to buy complete tilt units because the cleanliness required in these repairs is something most people are'nt up to.Access to the screws holding that motor on will be frustrating.ARCO is an aftermarket manufacturer of motors for this type of thing. I don't have their # in front of me but would be happy to give it to you monday night.

Thanks for the info...
Since my eletric motor is square and has
a top cap that can be removed was thinking
on trying the repair myself. Nothing lost
if can't; will have to buy complete unit
anyway! Again thanks for the info....
