mercury waterpump service kit?

Hello All,<br /><br />I have a 1989 Mercury 25hp outboard motor (Sn#ob387633) that has been sitting for a few years. Does anyone sell an all inclusive waterpump replacement kit. I would also like any and all seals that I will need to replace that I may remove when servicing the pump. Where is the best place on the net to order such items? I bought a book to service the engine, it shows isometric assembly diagrams but there is no manufacturers part number alongside the parts. How do I find the part numbers I need?<br /><br />By chance anybody have a 11' or 10' teleflex rack steering kit for sale? Mine is rusted solid. <br /><br />Best regards,<br /><br />Marc Webster

I have an 85hp mercury that was built in 1975, and I can still but a waterpump rebuilding kit over the counter for about 30 bucks so I am pretty sure that Mercury still makes a rebuilding kit for your motor. You might want to check the Mercurymarine.com site. They sell parts.

Hey Trent,<br /><br />Thanks a lot for your help. One thing I noticed is that my Serial # ob387633 never seems to match up with anything in catalogs. I checked the number with my local boat shop and they say it is a 1989 model. Oh well<br /><br />Anyway, thanks again,<br /><br />Marc Webster
