I've finally found the proper VST pump for my Merc / 60 / four stroke. I see the pump referred to as BOOST PUMP, LIFT PUMP, HIGH PRESSURE PUMP etc. Really now, what is it? thanks
VST stands for Vapor Separation Tank and was used in the first generation EFI motors. The tank is like that of a carburetor but does not vent outside the tank. The low pressure pump pumps fuel into the tank, where the high pressure pump is located inside.
Should also add, that I'm not an OB guy, so not certain of both pumps are in the one tank, my guess is no. If I had a serial number could try looking it up at boatinfo
