Mercury Spanner wrench for tilt and trim

Ok bought this used tilt and trim replaced motor need to check pump one screw (always one) seized but think I get it out - maybe lol - think the orings in the ram trims need replacing tried a cheap spanner - cap no move - watched a video using the mercury Spanner a socket wrench and a 3 ft breaker bar after cooking the cylinders not the caps he got movement using the breaker bar - cheapest Merc spanner is $50 plus - any alternatives or advice appreciated. Thanks

Amazon has lots of spanners for all prices. Maybe you can find one for less.

I would hope you do not need a breaker bar to remove the cap.

I used a $10 Harbor Freight adjustable when I did mine.

Cap has an o-ring seal. Should not be all that tight unless it's corroded

I have a farm and lots of antique tractors and implements.....rust is in a lot of places. I use an Impact wrench on hard to get off/out nuts and bolts. A cheap version of that tool is your spanner wrench and a hammer to whack (impact) the stubborn fastener. Impact and penetrating oil get the job done without tearing up any hardware or tools.
