I have a 2001 Mercury Saltwater 2 stroke outboard 150HP engine on my Key West 2020WA. I'm a newbie to boat ownership. Was reading other threads last night and saw someone post a comment about Quicksilver being the "cleanest" burning oil. My questions: 1)Do others agree? 2)Can I or should I remove existing oil from my reserve tank and replace with several gallons of Quicksilver Oil? Oil in the reserve tank is 1 year old, and probably of generic West Marine Brand. or should I just add Quicksilver in with remaining existing oil. 3) Are there any special procedures to be observed when/if I empty the reserve tank?
