Mercury problem #2

Once again a 1996 200hp 2.5 L black max. When trying to get up on plane for the 1st time of every outting it is starving for fuel. I will go about 8 mph at full throttle. Eventually it will come out of the hole sometimes within 5 minutes sometimes half hour. Its not smoking or sputtering it runs fine just slow! I tried pumping the primer ball while having the throttle almost to full and it very slowly sped up and eventually ran fine. After getting it to run right it will be fine the rest of the day. Any ideas?

Sounds like a weak fuel pump or a bad hose or hose connection.Possible dirty filter.Ethanol might be destroying your hoses.JJ
