I have a '72 1150 (115 hp, S/N 3368630) with a 19P Michigan "Match" propeller on it. An 18' Galaxy Tri-hull and I am reading exactly 4000 RPM at WOT. My range is 4800-5300.
I plan to buy a 15P Aluminum (should gain 800-1200) but every manufacturer says their hubs fit only '78 and newer Mercuries.
iBoats says the hubs WILL fit my motor.

The iBoats Prop Selector lists the Turning point #30, the Stiletto DE-501, the Michigan Wheel #102, the Mercury 835257Q1 and the Solas RBX-102 as ALL hubs fitting the pre '78 Mercury 115 hp.
I phoned Stiletto and they said, "DE-501 will not fit".
I phoned Turning Point and they said "no".
Has anyone tried any hubs on their pre '78 Merc?
Will a Mercury 48-77342-15 fit a '72?
