Mercury Outboard identification help

Hello all I have a small Mercury Outboard motor that I'm having a hard time tracking down the year and size of it. I'm sure it needs a new carb or a rebuilt one. But to track down the needed parts I need to know the year and size. I have attached some pics in hopes that it will help identify the motor. Any help is much appreciated.

Use the serial Nr. on the tag in pic. 3 that will give the year etc.

I have tried but have had no luck. At least none that I can make heads or tails of. is there a good site that will tell me the information?

Those decals were only used in 1984 and 1985.

Post a few pictures of the engine block and carburetor.

Rebuild the carb. Do not replace a perfectly good carb with a junk one.

Use the serial number to order parts for your 1983 or 1984 motor

Looks like one of the old 3.5hp numbers from early 80’s.
