Guys I have a 2001 Mercury Optimax ,Fuel injection that I purchased to put on a 196 wellcraft center counsel. Now the probelm is that i have never done this befor however the engine has already been mounted on the boat but i dont know how to do the steering so here are my questions :
Can I do with a mechanical steering ? or do I need a hydrolic steering ?
If so what parts do I need to buy for either steering system? I have a helm n hoses that that came with the boat but thats as far as I can go. I have seen some kits online but dont know if i may need more .......
