Needs some help I have a 2001 225 optimax That will not go over 2000 rpms
The story on this motor it always ran great till one day I was fouling number 6 cylinder plug over and over turned out to be a bad air injector so I replaced it thinking it was the main problem. Well that wasn’t the case so I start replacing parts new plugs wires tracker valve. Tested each plug for spark with the tester. Unplugged each air injector to see if it was a backed injector or coil and came up with nothing. Replaced all the filter and prime bulb and still nothing. Motor starts easy idles great it will go over 2000 rpm at the ramp but soon as you put a load on it nothing 2000 rpm’s back to the ramp. I’m at a lost. The only thing I can think is that it’s in safe guard mode. I have no alarms going of just one beep when I turn the key on.
