My neutral throttle button that you push in to give the engine gas out of gear broke off and the end is still in the shifter assembly. How do i get it out. I was trying to get the neutral button out and it broke off on the end. Any help would be appreciated.

Pair of pliers should get it out or use a socket and take the handle off

Might have to drill a hole and screw in a bolt or something and pull it our or use an extractor drill bit to pull it out.

In that case you need to take the nut out of the center of the lever the prongs your v talking about should come out with the nut

The nut is off. I can see a small pin that I think the shaft snaps into. Ive taken a small drill bit and have tried to break up whats left of the plastic and dig it out with a tiny screw driver. Beats me on this one. Never had this happen before. Not sure if it can be taken apart from the back side to get to the broken off part. Thanks for your replies. Hopefully i'll get it figured out today.

Looking at the picture where the prongs open up is the part that broke off and is still in the very bottom of the plunger. All thats in there is the prongs and it looks like a small pin in the bottom that the prongs snap into. I've got it cleaned out enough that I can see the pin but it still has plastic pieces in there. Thanks for the reply..

Sorry for the late reply. I got all of the pieces out that i could get out. The new part came in last Wednesday. I stuck it in the hole and it appears that some of the old plunger is still in there because it won't lock in place and won't engage the neutral warm up for the throttle.I'm going to try and get some more plastic out of it today. It looks pretty clean in the hole when you shine a light in there but there's a pin that I think the prongs latch on to and I think it has some stuff behind that pin to keep it from locking in.
