Mercury Mark 58A How old is it?

I recently acquired a Mercury Mark 58A made bt Keikhaffer Corp. <br />Serial #1269257<br />I would like to know what year it is and the horsepower. <br /> Does anybody know anything about this motor?<br />Thanks

The 58a was made in 1959 and is 45hp. The 58a is a great motor!! I have one to.
