Hi!
Can anyone advice on how to adjust the dashpot on a Merc 20hp? The carb is a WMC 29 and the engine is a 1987/88 2-stroke model. I reckon the same procedure is on the 25hp version too (and possible a range of hp:s with similar designs plus Mariner of course).
It is obvious the dashpot damps the throttle from closing "too fast" but I am puzzled with how early the dashpot stem should hit the lever. Also if there are some other considerations to take into account with respect to the dashpot adjustment.
I have scavenged the net and found plenty of stuff about the engine but not quite spot on on the dashpot...
