I am having truble with my moter vapor locking on me. I was told it was for salt water but was never ran in any. It seams to just loose all power and shut down on me if I have been idleing along in a river. if I stop and take the dog house off for about 5-10mins. Then it seams to start up and run again. Any ideas what i can do to fix the problem?

I've seen people seal their engine compartment so tight trying to keep water out , that even air can't get in. Are your air vents suffeciently open. That could also cause heat to remain in the engine compartment. Opening it allows cooler air in and hot air out.

I know it seems obvious, but run the motor without the doghouse on for a while and see if you can replicate the problem. If you're not able to do so then I think you will have found the culprit.
