Mercury Force sport jet 120hp timing

how can I set the timing on this motor? I have put 4-5 months back into getting it in good running order and it was great till some ruff water and a flywheel that is 14 yrs old went. All the magnets broke of so i ordered a new one and i think the engine got moved some before it was put on.

Flywheel will only go on one way. There should be a keyway that lines up the flywheel and crankshaft. You can turn the motor all you want. As long as you put the flywheel on properly, it won't change the timing.

Is it a NEW flywheel?

How do you know that is the CORRECT part?
