I am looking at a bass boat style of fishing boat and it has a Force 70 engine on it. The boat is a 92 and I am assuming the motor is the same year as the owner said it came on it. I have asked around to a few mechanics and I was told this force motor had a Chrysler powerhead with merc components bolted onto it. Is there any truth to hat statment?
Are the any habitual issues with this motor I should be aware of how about the lower units?
I am asking for a compression check before purchase just to be sure things are in good order there but I am more of a car guy so I am unsure as to what to lok for in a marine engine.
Did a 92 still have carbs?
