I few years ago I put a 2007 Mercruiser MX6.2L (377) DTS smartcraft motor w/ Bravo 3 drive in a 2005 ski boat. I used a pigtail electrical harness adapter to continue to operate with the analog gauges and remote control throttle. I've now purchased a new DTS remote control with applicable electrical harnesses and a mercmonitor level 2 gauge. I know that the remote control needs to be calibrated after installation, but my question is the following. I would like to install the equipment to use this weekend. The authorized mercury dealers in the area are horrible to work with it. Even though the calibration takes approximately 5 minutes. None of them will look at it for several weeks. The motor is already pre-wired and it will be hooked through the command module to a mercmonitor that during setup you input all the required data. Will the throttle work at all even if not perfect prior to a mercury dealer working me in to calibrate? Or is there a default in the software that will not allow the throttle to work until it is plugged into a mercury dealer computer? Seems a little odd, but I don't want to spend 8 hours rewiring everything to have the boat sitting for weeks for a 5 minute procedure. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks -Tony
