I replaced my tilt trim motor on my classic fifty. I bolted on the original valve body to the new motor and now I cant get it to sit down flush in the hole. Do i need to drain the fluid in the housing for the motor assy to drop down flush so I can bolt it down? Its almost is flush it needs to go about another 1/8 inch i do not want to try to suck it down with the bolts cause im afraid ill crack the flange. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Yes believe it or not, a mercury mechanic had me leave the Oring seals of the pump in the sun for a couple days they were swelled up. Did that reinstalled on pump and it dropped right in
