The CDS software is Merc dealer only but you may find it on ebay from someone that has bought out a closed dealership. The CDI MEDS is a better system but pricy like the Merc.
Older versions of the Mercury Digital Diagnostic Tester (DDT) with appropriate software can be found on eBay for around $500. The more recent diagnostic software (CDI MEDS) runs on a laptop and is extremely expensive. Go here: http://www.cdielectronics.com/MEDS.aspx
